ToggleModern music has certainly come a long way and much of what we hear today came from the seeds planted in the 1950s and 1960s. Before grunge, house, and disco, there was rock n roll!
There were pioneers everywhere from Elvis Presley to the Beatles and thankfully their peers took their lead and made people all around the world dance to a new sound. In the fifties, people Bopped, Hand Jived, Cha-Chaed and performed the Swing and we still do thanks to the people here (we have split this up a bit to cover a few subgenres).
